You can look at either the Overall Rankings or the rankings for the latest week.

  1. We have some accounting in place to see whether more than one S11 user has
    registered a given YFF Team number. When there are duplicates, neither
    S11 account is eligible to be ranked.

  2. Once you've set your YFF Team number in your profile, you are more or less
    stuck with that number -- even if you change it in your profile. The reason
    for this is that it's expensive to throw away all the prior week's points
    and then refetch them all just because a S11er has decided to change from
    Team A to Team B.

    Exceptions to this can be (and have been) made, mostly when typos have
    been made when entering the Team number in the profile. This isn't the
    only acceptable reason for changing a Team number. So if you feel you
    want to change your Team number, you can always ask (PM velvetstooge,
    KINSO and Bolt) and explain your reasons -- chances are you can be
    accomodated.

  3. There is a further eligibility requirement, which is determined by using
    a fairly mysterious heuristic based in part on the relationship between
    shift in the density of the Oort Cloud and the current chances of Vinnie
    Jones winning an Oscar in his lifetime. Basically, you may not find
    yourself on the list. That's life. Just keep contributing to the debate
    in the forums, and I'm sure everything will come out OK.

  1. Why can't I find myself on the list?
    • You may not have added your YH Team Number to your S11 profile.


  2. I've updated my profile, but I'm still not on the list?
      There are several possible reasons:
    • If you've just added yourself, it may be awhile until the database is
      updated. This happens twice daily.
    • Make sure you updated your profile with your YH Team Number only.
      That's the number at the end of the URL when you are viewing your
      team's current week. No non=numeric characters are allowed.
    • Don't pick a stupid random number, like 1 or 100 or 123123123.
    • Actually, don't pick a random number at all. I will be cross. :P
    • It's possible that someone else has usurped your YH Team Number. If
      you suspect this to be the case, contact me or Bolt. You can tell if
      someone else has taken your ID (probably through a typo) because,
      unless they have your password, the YH Team Name will be yours. The
      problem is easily resolved, though you may be asked to prove ownership,
      by changing the team name temporarily.

  3. Why aren't the points updated yet?
    • Well, I've automated adding new S11 members to the rankings database,
      but it's trickier to automate the weekly update. Right now it's a
      semi-manual process, in which I enter which week I want to update
      (and so forth) on a web page. Probably, I'm just a little late
      getting to it. Get over it, OK? ;)
